Camp Glacier Hollow is a YMCA Resident Overnight Camp offering youth a safe environment in which positive values, personal growth, lifelong friendships, environmental awareness, and outrageous fun are key elements. Join us this summer for an experience that lasts a lifetime! We have great food too!

*Typical Resident Overnight Camp arrival is after 1:30pm on Sunday and pick-up is before 12:00noon on Saturday for 7 day programs or 5:00pm on Friday for 6 day programs. Beginning Adventurers pick-up is at 5:00pm on Wednesday.

At Glacier Hollow YMCA Resident Overnight Camp our campers enjoy a mix of traditional camp activities with special attention is placed on the theme of the week, outdoor skills and environmental education hands-on activities.  In addition, through evening campfires, group games and activities, campers will laugh and create new memories and friends.


Campers for L.I.F.E. (ages 9-14)
June 24 – 30, 2018 (7 days)
Live In Fitness Everyday!  Shoot a bow & arrow, canoe & kayak, help prepare healthy meals, explore rock climbing, participate in fun physical activities, sing around a campfire, and challenge each other in a campfire cook-off, make friends and more.  All while learning lifelong wellness skills through fun hands on programming that addresses fitness, nutrition, and personal well being.  See Campers for LIFE the Adventure (page 6) for a special session including a north woods zip line tour and white water rafting trip (ages 12-15).


Beginning Adventurers (ages 7-10)Friends
July 15-14, 2018 (4 days)
Beginning Adventurers is a 4-day session for younger and first-time campers and is a great intermediate progression point from day camp to the full 7-day resident camp. Campers will experience hands-on camp activities like pond mucking, canoe lessons, fishing, archery and more… Special attention will be given to helping campers feel comfortable in new surroundings. Enthusiastic counselors will guide these young campers in discovering the wonders of nature and camping, while building confidence and independence.

Camp Wise Spirits (Girls ages 8-14)
July 8-14, 2018 (7 days)
Just for girls – Camp Wise Spirits concentrates on the activities that our girl campers have told us they love the best! Campers will learn about themselves, build self-confidence, make meaningful friendships, develop new skills and have lots of traditional camp fun. *A Horsemanship Add-On option is available this week.

*Horsemanship Add-On Option: Campers who register for the horseback riding option will travel by YMCA bus to Neu-View Stables, Monday-Friday from approx. 9:30am-1:30pm. Throughout the week, we will touch on many different areas including: safety, grooming and tack, saddling, ground work (lunging and leading), mounting, dismounting, feeding and care, horse breeds, identification and daily riding lessons. Horsemanship Campers will return to Glacier Hollow each afternoon and have opportunities for traditional and evening camp activities. Camp will send along a box lunch each day. Neu-View Stables is in Custer, WI, just 10 minutes from Camp Glacier Hollow. Limited to 10 participants. There is an Additional Fee for this Option.

SnorklingThe Adventure (ages 8-13)
July 22-28, 2018 (7 days)
A week like no other! This session combines a focus on outdoor skills with our traditional camp activities.  An outdoor rock climbing and caving trip are the two special off camp excursions this week.  Space is limited this week so register early for the ADVENTURE!

Timbertop Camp (ages 8-13 w/ Learning Disabilities)
August 5-11, 2018 (7 days)
Timbertop Camp is for boys and girls that have been identified by their school districts as needing extra help for a learning disability. Timbertop combines traditional camp programs with extra reading practice and special group activities that focus on dealing with learning disabilities. Special attention is paid to peer relations, building self-confidence and learning new skills. Please contact us to request special registration materials. Splash & Sport (ages 8-13)
August 12-18, 2018 (7 days)
Splash & Sport week will be wet’n wild. This session will include a river canoe/kayak trip, lots of fishing time including an optional off-site fishing trip, snorkeling, giant slip n slide, beach party, our famous Wells Fargo and water Nature Quest activities.
