The Stevens Point Area YMCA – Camp Glacier Hollow offers a variety of summer camp opportunities for employment. Below are descriptions of positions. We are looking for staff that are responsible role-models, looking for a challenging and rewarding summer, creating memories that last a lifetime!
Camp is located 14 miles east of Stevens Point, WI on crystal clear spring-fed Lake Elaine. Over 100 acres of mixed forest, glacial ridges and hollows makes it an ideal setting for environmental education teaching and learning. Camp serves up to 175 total campers per week.

APPLICATION DEADLINE: Positions will be filled as qualified applicants are identified with the intent that all positions will be filled by mid to late April 2021.
DAY CAMP POSITIONS
(*Filled for 2021) Day Camp Program Coordinator – responsible for assisting the Camp Director with leading, planning, preparing, supervising, general program operations, and for camp counseling.
Day Camp Counselor/Naturalists – responsible for carrying out overall camp program operations, teaching traditional camp and environmental education activities and camp counseling for the various Day Camps.
(*Filled for 2021) Resident Camp Program Coordinator – responsible for assisting the Camp Director with leading, planning, preparing, supervising, general program operations, and for camp counseling.
(*Filled for 2021) Resident Camp Counselor/Naturalists – responsible for carrying out overall camp program operations, teaching traditional camp and environmental education activities and camp counseling for the various Resident and/or Day Camps.
LEAD & SUPPORT STAFF POSITIONS
Office Manager & Health Assistant – responsible for coordinating with the Camp Director with planning and leading general program operations, camper supervision, general office duties, staff files, record keeping, schedule coordinating, maintaining program equipment and general facility cleanliness. Health care duties include assistant administration of health services.
(*Filled for 2021) House Keeping/Maintenance Staff – responsible for cleaning general areas (including bathrooms, kitchen, lodge and cabins) and general maintenance of camp equipment and facilities.
(*Filled for 2021) Kitchen Manager/Cook – responsible for carrying out overall kitchen operations including cooking at least two meals (breakfast, lunch or dinner), coordinating cook staff, food and supply ordering, general cleaning, dishes and record keeping. Additional duties may include camp program support.
Kitchen Assistant/Cook – responsible for cooking one meal (typically dinner, but is based on the Kitchen Manager schedule), general cleaning and dishes.
