Teen Leadership Camp for

This six day and five night training camp is an orientation to our “LIT” and “CIT” programs. Teens who successfully complete this course can be placed as an LIT or CIT. Participants will be staying overnight at Camp Glacier Hollow. Limited space is available.

Leader in Training "LIT" (ages 12-15 must be entering 7th grade)
June 18 - August 31
This program is open to teens who successfully complete the Teen Leadership Camp. LITs will continue to build on their newly formed friendships and enhance their self-confidence and leadership skills throughout the summer. LITs will use their skills to support YMCA staff and interact with children in our Day Camps. Throughout the summer LITs will also participate as a group in fun team building activities, special events and field trips. The Leader In Training Program requires a commitment of two to five days per week for six to eleven weeks throughout the summer. Please see the brochure for fee details.
Counselor in Training "CIT" (ages 15-17)
This program is open to teens who successfully complete the Teen Leadership Camp. CITs have the same great training and opportunities as the LITs, however CITs can also assist at Resident Camps. CITs are NOT required to commit to a minimum number of weeks and there is NO fee.
LITs and CITs are held to high standards and can be removed from the program if not meeting those standards.
2012 Teen Day Camp
(ages 12-15 must be entering 7th grade)
Teen Camp is for all teens who want to spend a fun and exciting summer at camp. It can be a first step into the LIT program. Participants will follow weekly day camp themes to guide everyday activities, but have the flexibility to work with staff to design their own program. Traditional camp activities, service projects and some special trips will be included in every week. (Space is limited.)
