Welcome to YMCA Camp Glacier Hollow, nestled just 14 miles East of Stevens Point in beautiful Central Wisconsin on Lake Elaine. Click here to view more about the camp facility. YMCA Camp Glacier Hollow is opperated by the Stevens Point Area YMCA.
We have great things planned for you this summer. Fantastic programs, awesome activities and really cool staff that you can relate to, all come together to provide a most excellent experience no matter what your age is. YMCA Camp Glaicer Hollow has a variety of programs that offer traditional camp activities with an emphasis on environmental education and awareness. Programs include (Click any program to view more):
There are twelve weeks of fun and exciting Day Camps. Campers participate in traditional camp activities joined with the special weekly themes to keep things new. Some of this years themes include; Artrageous, Mission Impossible,
Swamp n' & Stomp n', Hunt/Fish/Camp, Sports Spectacular, Fins, Fur & Feathers, and Indiana Jones & The Great Adventure.
There are five full weeks (Sunday - Saturday) of Resident Camp offered. There are three sessions of our traditional Nature Quest program (Nature Quest Session I has an Adventure Theme and Nature Quest Session III includes a horsemanship option); Camp Wise Spirits is for girls only; and Timbertop Camp for youth ages 8-13 with learning disabilities. First timers may want to test the waters at Beginning Adventurers a shorter three night program for campers ages 7-11.
Teen Adventure Trips (ages 12-17) and an Adult Trip
The adventurous teen can travel off camp to experience the thrills of rock climbing, canoeing, kayaking, mountain biking, whitewater rafting and backpacking. A great next step! Experience is not necessary on most trips. Adults we have a canoe and kayak trip for you too.
Teens who successfuly complete the Teen Leadership Training Camp can be placed as an LIT or CIT in our Day and Resident Camp programs. Many camp staff have graduated from this training program.
Many parents want to return to or experience camp for the first time. Family Camp is held over one weekend during the summer giving the entire family an opportunity to share the wonderful experiences of camp.
